AN INSIGHT INTO THE DEPARTMENT
Agadtantra is one among the Ashtangayurveda. This teaches the toxicological aspects mentioned in Ayurveda and also teaches the ethical aspects of the clinical practice that is to be maintained which has been beautifully mentioned in the ancient literatures of Ayurveda. The students gets the knowledge on various plant and animal poisons, their detection diagnosis and the treatment and the prognosis. Both modern and Ayurveda aspects of toxicology is taught to the students. The unique concepts of gara vish and dushi vish which has a good significance in the present era of mankind is one of the limelight of Agadtantra. This department imparts the basic knowledge in forensic medicine to the students
