MEDICAL CAMP 

Medical camp was conducted by the Shalakya tantra department at Malasika Dhari Amreli on 06-06-2023. Dr Bhumi Mehta Assistant professor of Shalakyatantra department consulted the patients. A total of 63 patient found the camp benefecial .

ENVIRONEMNT DAY CELEBRATIONS 2023

In association with the Environment day celebration, the students from Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College participated in the District level tree plantation project conducted at Kalam Innovative School Amreli. We also conducted the plantation programme at the college herbal garden. The programme had the participation of all the teachers. The whole programme was organized by the NSS department of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College , under the supervision of Dr Vijay Assistant professor of Dravya Guna Department of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College

MEDICAL CAMPS 

Various medical camps were conducted on the 1st of June 2023, at Amreli. Camps were conducted at four spots at Amreli. At Vakiya,Dr Gandhali Acchrekar,Associate professor,Prasuti striroga consulted the patients and total 36 patients were enrolled in the camp. At Madila Dr Thulya Mohandas, Professor. Kayachikitsa Department consulted the patients and total 69 patients were enrolled in the camp. At Devarajiya Dr Pranav Joshi, Medical officer consulted the patients and total 40 patients were enrolled in the camp. At Chalala Dr Kajal Bagada, Assistant professor Shalyatantra Department consulted the patients and total 39 patients were enrolled in the camp

MEDICAL CAMP

Medical camps were conducted at Nagnath on 29th of April 2023. Dr Dhanya, Asst professor of Kaumarabhritya and Dr Bhumi Mehta, Asst professor of Shalakyatantra Dr Farooq Ahmad Associate Professor at Salyatantra were the consultants and the camp had the services of the internees and the final year students.

The proud moment of the hundredth episode of Mann ki baat, the Indian Radio Programme by The Honourable Prime minister of India Shri Narendra Modi was screened live at the college in the presence of the students and the teaching faculties

ACADEMIC VISIT

Academic visit to the Anatomy department of Shantabaa medical college, Amreli by the first year BAMS students ( 2022-23 Batch ) and (2023 – 24 batch ) was conducted. The students were accompanied by Dr Shweta Sorte Associate professor of Rachanasharir department, Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College Amreli.We extend our gratitude to Dr Rajkumar, Professor, Department of Anatomy ,Shantabaa medical college for making the arrangements for the visit.

AWARENESS CLASS ON PROTECTION FROM SEXUAL ABUSE

BAGASARA MEDICAL CAMP-APRIL 2023

Glimpse of Sarvarog nidan medical camp conducted on 02-04-2023 at Bagasara. Camp had Dr Kajal Bagada Assistant professor Shalyatantra Dr Hiral Gohil Assistant professor Panchakarma  Dr Amod Kulkarni Professor Kayachikitsa Dr Sheela Pant Assistant Professor Prasuti streeroga as the consultants and along with had the service of the internees. A total of 207 patients received the health service for various ailments.

MEDICAL CAMP-MARCH 30 2023

Glimpse of Medical camp conducted on March 30 at Datt Mandir. Dr Hiral Gohel, Assistant professor of Panchakarma offered the service. The camp also had the participation of the internees.

MOTA GOKHAR VALA MEDICAL CAMP-MARCH 2023

Glimpse of Mota Gokhar Vala medical camp conducted on 24-03-2023. Camp had Dr Gandhali Achrekar( Associate professor; Prasuti streeroga Dr Kailas Dabhi ( Assistant professor ;Kayachikitsa) as the consultants. A total of 87 patients attended the camp.

TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM 2023

    As per the NCISM instructions transitional curriculum was conducted for the first Prof BAMS ,academic year 2022 – 23 from 20th March 2023 to 09th  February 2023. Starting with inaugural function it had session on various topics by the college faculty and guest talk by experts from the respective fields. The welcome event had the teachers and the senior students addressing the new comers.

The programme was guided by Dr Prasanth R Krishnan ,Principal and with the support of Dr Arpan P Jani,CEO of Netra Chiktsa Trust.A pre and post curriculum test was conducted to evaluate the influence and effectiveness of the transitional curriculum programme and the marks were compared for that. The feedback was collected from the students after the completion.

     On the last day all the HOD’s  of first year departments guided the students with their motivational talk and  Principal Dr.Prasanth R.Krishnan  expressed vote of thanks to  Dr.Arpan P Jani( CEO of  Netra Chikitsa Trust), all the guest speakers,all staff members and students participants for making this programme successful.

   The programme was scheduled from 20-02-2023 to 09-03-2023 as a 15 day event and had the participation of sixty students

To make the students more familiar with the subject and the college session for knowing the BAMS curriculum, session to give an idea of Sanskrit in the name vadatu sanskritam, session on yoga and meditation, visits to the various departments and the knowing the campus were done.

To get familiar with the governing bodies sessions were conducted on the governing bodies like NCISM and AYUSH and ASUS systems and National health goals and policies.As an initiation to the medical career sessions on Basic life support and Health awareness , health and personal hygiene were conducted.To shape the students for the future, sessions on personality devolepment, stress management , setting goals, team building activities and motivational lectures were conducted. Sessions on basic computer skill were helpful for the students.Recreational activities conducted help to reveal the extra curricular abilities and skills of the students.The feedback from the students collected and the post curriculum test  showed the positive impact the curriculum has created in the students.

The sixth batch of Netra chikitsa Ayurved College was offered a warm welcome to the campus by the juniors and the college faculties.

The event was organised by the first prof senior batch. The testimony from the seniors and the speech elated the event and helped the students to be motivated and inspired

FIRE AWARENESS SEMINAR

A Fire awareness seminar was conducted at the college campus on 27-02-2023 by Mr H C Ghadvi, District fire officer Amreli. The session was conducted for the first prof senior student and they were taught the technical and the practical aspects of the safety and emergency measures and the operational aspects.

MEDICAL CAMP

A medical camp was conducted at Jesingpara Amreli on the 23 of February 2023. Dr Gandhali Accharekar, Associate Professor at Prasuti Striroga department consulted the patients. The camp had the internees offering the service to the patients.

LETS TALK SCIENCE SERIES

In the “Lets talk science” series the second webinar was conducted by the Rachanasharir department on the 31st of January 2023. The webinar based on the topic ” Garbha poshana : Ayurved and Modern concept” had Dr Kalpana Tawalare Associate professor in BMAC & RH Butibori, Nagpur in the subject of Rachanasharir as the guest faculty delivering the session. On this occassion we owe our thanks to mam for the informative session. AWARD CEREMONY

The award functioning ceremony for the university rank students for the GAU examinations. The cash award (sponsored by the Netra Chikitsa Trust Amreli ) memento and the certificates were awarded by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurved University Dr Mukul Patel Sir. We express out heartfelt gratitude to him for his kind gesture to keep aside his busy schedule and give his valuable time for us to bless our students on this occasion and also to CEO for this initiation. Republic day celebrations were conducted on Jan 26 -2023 . Dr Amod Kulkarni Professor Kayachikitsa Department hoisted the flag and addressed the gathering

MEDICAL CAMP

Sarvarog nidan camp conducted on21/1/2023 at Nagnath Mandir Amreli. A total of 150 patients visited the camp. Dr Kajal Bagada Assistant professor Salyatantra, Dr Hiral Gohel Assistant professor Panchakarma, Dr Bhumi Mehta Assistant professor Salakyatantra Dr Amod Kulkarni Associate professor Kayachikitsa consulted the patients.

Medical camp conducted at Devrajiya on 20-01-2023. The camp had Dr Bharati Barat Deputy Medical Superintendent and Dr Sheela Pant Assistant Professor of Prasuti Striroga as the consultants along with the internees.

HEALTH CHECK AND MEDICAL CAMP

          Health check up and medical camp was conducted at Iswariya primary school of Kukavav Taluka on occasion of World bralile Day celebration by the Kaumarabhrittya department. Around 123 school children were checked, and suvarnaprashan drops were given to them. The camp had Dr Vaishali Savaj and Dr Dhanya Assistant professor of Kaumarabhrittya department offering the medical service

ACADEMIC VISITS FOR THIRD YEAR BAMS

            As the part of the curriculum  academic visits were conducted for the third year BAMS students for the academic year 2012- 22. Court visit and visit to Forensic science lab was conducted under the Agadtantra department.The court visit was conducted by dividing the class into five batches.The visits were coordinated and accompanied by Dr Ashwini Jeerankalagi,Reader and Dr Jamesh VS , Assistant professor from the department.

            VIsits were conducted to Amar diary, Public health centre, Government dispensary, Naturopathy centre by the Swasthavritta department. The visits were coordinated by and accompanied by Dr Pown Kumar Reader and Dr Binil P Assistant professor of  the Swasthavritta department.

MEDICAL CAMP- ( 29 -12 – 2022 )

Medical camp was conducted at Devrajiya village Amreli on 29th of December 2022. A total of 80 patients were consulted.

MEDICAL CAMP- ( 24 -12 – 2022 )

Medical camp conducted at Dikranu ghar Amreli on 24th of December 2022 by the Kayachikitsa department along with the internees. The camp had Dr Kailas Dabhi, Assistant professor Kayachikitsa consulting the patients.

CHILD HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP

Child health check up and camp organized by Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College with collaboration of Rotarct club of Amreli Gir at Hanumanpara primary school. The camp was conducted by Kaumarabhritya department. Dr Vaishali Savaj , Associate professor organised the camp along with the internees of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College

INAUGURATION OF PANCHAKARMA OUTLET

Our first panchakarma outlet was inaugurated at the dikara nu Ghar (old-age home) at Amreli on 14-12-200 to function on online basis from 9.30 AM -12.30 PM with sunday as holiday

FIRE AND SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

An awareness programme on fire and emergency  service management by the Department of Fire and emergency services ,Amreli was conducted at Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College campus on 12 -12 -2022. Mr H C Gadhavi Fire officer at Fire and emergency service gave an informative session and the practical aspects were explained with demo for the students.

Dr Pown Kumar, Associate professor, Department of Swasthavritta, Dr Arun Chandran, Associate professor ,Department of Kriyasharir and Dr Ram Bhuva , Assistant professor Department of Rasa and Bhaishajya offered the welcome for the team behalf of the college.

The practical session was so interesting and informative for the students and the faculties. The students were given an opportunity to do them practically and understand the practical aspects and difficulties. The session was concluded with an interactive session. The programme came out to be a more successful and fruitful for the students and the faculty.

MEDICAL CAMP AT OLD AGE HOME

Medical camp by the department of Panchakarma has been held on December 10 -2022 in the old age home at Amreli

Dr Hiral Gohel , Assistant professor of the Panchakarma department consulted the patients with the internees of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College Hospital.The medicines prepares at our own house was dispensed during the camp at free of cost to the patients consulted. Subsequent camps were decided to be conducted for the follow up in the future.

TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM FOR INTERNEES

As per the NCISM a Transitional curriculum was conducted for the internees associated with the commencement of the internship. In the curriculum various sessions were conducted on different topics by the faculties from the various department. The session started from 5th to 14th of December. The whole programme was organised by Dr Kajal Bagada, Assistant professor, Shalyatantra department who was elected as the internship coordinator.

WORLD PILES DAY 2022

In association with world piles day celebrated on November 20, the Shalyatantra department of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College, Amreli conducted a webinar and a medical camp at the department OP.

The webinar was conducted at November 21 at 12: 00 PM. The webinar based on the topic Anorectal diseases and treatment modalities had Dr Najeeb TK , Associate professor, Department of Salyatantra at KMCT Ayurveda College, Kozhikkode, Kerala as the Guest speaker. The webinar, the first in the history of Netra Chikitsa College came out to be a great success in all means. The camp was organised by Dr Farook Ahmed, Associate professor, Department of Aalyatantra,Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College and coordinated by Dr Kajal Bagada, Assistant professor, Department of Salyatantra, Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College. Dr Prasanth R Krishnan Principal of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College presided the seminar. A medical camp was also conducted on the same day  at the out patient Department of Salyatantra for the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal diseases.

A  medical camp was conducted at the OP section of Prasuti streeroga.  The camp had the service of Dr Gandhali Janardan Acharekar ,Associate professor from the department.As a part of the curriculum and as a service the camp had the participation of the students from the third year BAMS. 

CHILDRENS DAY CELEBRATION AND SUVARNAPRASHAN

Suvarna prashan was conducted on  November 14 and 15 at the Out patient of Kaumarabhritya department. The camp was conducted and organised by Dr Vaishali Savaj ,Associate professor of Kaumarabhritya department. The third year students participated the programme and offered their service.

In associated with the children’s day the suvarnaprashan camp was extended to the nearby Anganwadi at Shreerang society. The prashan camp was done at the anganwadi along with some fun time spended with the kids at the anganwadi

MEDICAL CAMP ( DATT MANDIR )

Medical camp at Datt Mandir Chittal road conducted on Novemeber 10th 2022 had offered medical service to a total of 73 patients. The camp was for the digestive disorders and ortho related. The camp had Dr Amod Kullkarni , Professor of Department of Kaya chikitsa , Dr Kailas Dabhi, Assistant professor of Department of Kaya chkitsa and Dr Hiral Gohal Assistant professor of Department of Panchakarma consulting the patients. The camp was organised by Dr Satish Solanki with the participation of the final year BAMS students.

UNITY DAY CELEBRATION

To commemorate the birthday of the Iron man of India Sri Sardar Vallabhai Patel, as the whole India celebrate the Rashtriya ekta divas Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College celebrated the day with pledge and conducting the run  for unity.

The programme was organised by the NSS Department under the guidance of Dr Dinesh Dumadiya Assistant Professor of Nidana department and NSS programme officer. The pledge ceremony was presided by the Respected principal Dr Prasanth R Krishnan.

DHANWANTHARI JAYANTI

On the auspicious occasion of Dhanwanthari Jayanti Dhanwanthari pooja was done at the Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College Hospital on October 22 -2022.The ceremony had the presence of doctors and the hospital staff. Dr Kajal Bagada and Dr Bhumi Mehta organised the holy event

CLEAN INDIA CAMPAIGN

Under the NSS department of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College, Amreli in association with Clean India Campaign , service camps and medical camps were conducted in Anaganwadis at Giriraj  Nagar. Camp was lead by Dr Dinesh Dumadiya Assistant Professor of Nidana department. The camp had the participation of the second year BAMS students.

FACTORY VISIT

As the part of the curriculum of Swasthavritta a factory visit was conducted for the third year BAMS on October 11 , 2022 to Amar Diary at Amreli. The visit was organised by the Department of Swasthavritta and the students were accompanied by Dr Pownkumar Reader and HOD of the department and Dr Binil , Assistant professor. 

FOOD COMPETITION -NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY 2022

As a part of celebration of National Ayurveda Day 2022 Department of Swasthavritta had conducted a millet food competition for the students at the college campus on September 29 -2022. The students participated as groups and made unique dishes which had both nutritional value and had a therapeutic aspect also.

The theme was also the same to make food which is healthy and at the same time pathya for the consumer. The programme was organised by Dr Pown Kumar and Dr Binil. The programme was presided by  Dr Prasant R Krishnan our Principal. The event was judjed by Dr Sweta Sorte, Associate professor of Rachanasarir department and Dr Hiral , Assistant  professor of Panchakarma department.

KUPOSHAN ABHIIYAN-A GOLDEN ACHIEVEMENT

Our ceaseless effort in the malnourishment eradication programme in association with madad organization from the past few months has become one of the most prestigious achievement among the many we have earned in these years of our growth as a health and academic institution. The documented data of the whole mission till the time has been submitted to the government. As a token of gratitude for the efforts our faculties were awarded with a certificate of appreciation by Union cabinet minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying ,Honorable Shree Parshotam Rupala ji. Netra Chikitsa Trust was also appreciated for the efforts in the health sector and behalf of the trust the appreciation was recieive by Dr Arpan P Jani , CEO and Varshil Gandhi,Trustee of Netra Chikitsa Trust .

The programme was started as a part of the propitious scheme Poshan abhiyan 2022 by our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the programme started  in May 2022. The whole programme always had the sincere support of, Honorable Shree Parshotam Rupala ji .A total of 383 children were screened in the initial phase and a special nutritional kit manufactured in our own production house ( Netra Chikitsa Trust Ayurved Pharmacy ) was dispensed to all. The kit consisted of a nutritive granule, Suvarnaprashan drops , Chyawanprash and a massage oil. Among them, we were able to bring 162 kids to the green zone and 124 others were brought to the moderate yellow zone and still we have 48 still in the red zone and 49 migrated during the programme making their follow up impossible. We are confident to bring the remaining 48 to the green zone by our efforts in the future by our enduring effort and we take it as our responsibility to the society.

MALNOURISHMENT ASSESSMENT AND SUVARNA PRASHAN

In association with the Ayurveda day celebration 2022 the department of Kaumarabhritya had organised and a  medical camp at the Department OP of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College on September 20 and 21. The camp was conducted by Dr Vaishali Savaj Associate professor and Dr Aiswarya Padmanabhan Assistant professor of Kaumarabhritya department.

THIRD ROUND OF MALNOURISHMENT ERADICATION

As the continuation of the programme started with madad organisation with the aim of providing a support for the needy in their nutrition, today on September 16 of 2022 the third round dispensing of the neutraceutical kit prepared in our own house was conducted through the OPD of  Kaumarabhrithya. The programme was organised by Dr Vaishali Savaj Reader of the Department and Dr Satish Solanki.

GANESH POOJA 2022

On the auspicious period of Vinayaka chathurthi, Ganesh pooja was organised at Netra chikitsa Ayurved college on the date of September 6 2022. The event was blessed with the presence of faculties staff and students. The event was started by 10:15 AM and had a gratified end with distribution of sweets.

YOGA SHIBIR-2022

As per the curriculum Yoga shibir was conducted for the third year students at the college campus by the Department of Swasthavritta. The event was organised by the Department faculties Dr Pown Kumar Reader and Dr Binil Assistant professor and Dr Sakthi Sinh Gohel.The event had Sweta Piyushbhai Vithlani an expertise in yoga as the instructor who conducted the yoga sessions for the students. The event was scheduled from 23 -08-2022 till 27-08-2022 from 8:00 AM till 9:00 AM.

An invited talk was conducted associated with yoga shibir. The session was presided by NATVARLAL M.VANRA of Dev Naturopathy clinic.The session came out to be a productive session with the mutual participation.Behalf  of the college, he was honoured by Dr Ram Bhuva Assistant Professor of Rasasastra and Bhaishajyakalpana. The event was completed on 27 -08-2022 with the group photo session

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBARTIONS ON AUGUST 15 2022

Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College and Hospital campus witnessed one of the most vibrant days ever in its history on 15th of August 2022. The celebration of the 76th Independence day was splendid by activities and programmes organized by the NSS Department of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College.The scheduled programmes were conducted in time by the cooperation of the students and faculties. The plan was executed and lead by Dr Pown Kumar along with the students. The third year students took the responsibility of organizing the whole day and it was done very efficiently.

The programme started at 7:30 AM , with making proper arrangements. All the students and faculties were present at the campus by 8:00 AM and the flag hoisting ceremony started. The flag hoisting ceremony was hosted by Mit Thakar, our third year student. In the absence of Principal, the flag hoisting was done by Dr Shivanand Biradar, Reader of Rasasastra and Bhaishajyakalpana who was welcomed by Dhruvi Tanwani and Kruti Khuman , the students of third year. Flag hoisting was followed by salutation and National anthem. Dr Shivanand Biradar gave an inspiring inaugural speech.

The ceremony further had speech from Dr Ashwini Jeerankalagi, Reader of Agadtantra Department, Miss Bhavika Sanskrit Lecturer, Dr Namrata Assistant Professor, Department of Samhitha and Siddhanta. A patriotic song by Krupa Bhatt, our third year student made the ceremony more pleasing . The programme was concluded by vote of thank by Juhee Sarvaiyya our third year student.

As a part of the celebration an invited speech was conducted at the campus. It was done by Vaidya Mahendrasinh Sarvaiya of Ashtanga Ayurveda Dham – Talaja. The speech was so inspirational for all with the knowledge he conveyed and the significance of Ayurveda which he discussed about. The memorable event was hosted by Jeet Shukla , final year student and on the occasion Vaidya Mahendrasinh Sarvaiya  was welcomed and honoured by Dr Arun Chandran,Dr Dinesh Dumadiya and Dr Ram Bhuva.

As per schedule the plantation at the herbal garden was the next event which was conducted under the responsibility of Dravya guna department under the guidance of Dr Laxman Hemde, Reader of the Department. The seedlings  prior collected from different places were planted by faculties and children. The responsibility for maintaining them further was divided among the students.

After the plantation , the competitions were conducted at the programme hall which included Speech competition and National anthem competition. The whole programme was organized by Dr Jamesh VS , Assistant Professor, Agadtantra Department and hosted by Parthvi Kotak, our third year student. Speech competition based on the topics ”India in my dreams” “Importance of Independence day celebration” “Are we independent” “How we can serve our motherland” came out to be more than the expectation with the students delivering vibrant performance. The competition was evaluated by Dr Kajal Bagada, Assistant Professor Shalya Department and Dr Vaishali Savaj, Assistant Professor Kaumarabhritya  Department.

National anthem competition became a most memorable one with high spirits and it was evaluated by Dr Namrata Assistant Professor, Department of Samhitha and Siddhanta.

The final year students made their contribution rendering a group song with different patriotic songs tied with speeches of nationalism and patriotism which made it pleasing to eyes and ears and vibrant to the soul.The programme was winded up by address note from Dr Arun Chandran, Reader Department of Kriyasharir

INDEPENDENCE DAY COMPETITIONS

On the auspicious occasion of Independence day celebration at Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College, various competitions were held at college campus on the 12th of August 2022. The competitions included Essay competition, Painting competition and Rangoli competitions. The programme was organised by the NSS Department under the guidance of Dr Pown Kumar.

The essay competition was organised by Dr Namrata , Assistant Professor of Samhita and Siddantha. The essay competition based on the subject  “Role of Ayurveda in the future of India” came out to be  impressive with the participation of students and the content they generated.

The Rangoli competition was organised by Dr Sweta Sorte , Reader of Anatomy Department. The contest was based on various themes related to India and Independence like India after Independence, Save girl child, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav , Har ghar tiranga. As usual Rangoli became the most lively competition of the day, with student from all the academic years participating as groups.

All the Rangoli created were so adorable , both visually pleasing and thought revoking. The rangolis were then kept for display for all the faculties

The painting competition was organised by Dr Ashwini Jeerankalagi, Reader from the Department of Agadtantra. The theme given was “Health status before and after Independence” and “ Har ghar tiranga”. The painting competition had the most contestants among all.

The paintings were attractive with colours and emotions contained in it. After the competitions the painting were displayed in the hall. All the events were evaluated by different panel of faculties.

All the  events and the rally made the day a beautiful one pleasing the mind and touching the spirit of Nationalism.

INDEPENDENCE DAY RALLY CONDUCTED ON AUGUST 15 -2022

On the occasion of 75 th year of Independence, celebrating “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”  Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College, Amreli along with NSS Department of the college has organized celebration at the college campus starting from August 13th  till the 15th of August. To kick off the celebration an Independence day rally was conducted from the college to the forward block , the heart of Amreli. The rally had all the students and faculties participating with the spirit of nationality.It all started with organising the batches and photo sessions. The moments were overwhelmed with the spirit of patriotism and the joy coming from the emotion.

The rally kicked off at 10:30 AM from the college campus ground with banners flags and self made posters. The programme was organised and lead by Dr Pown Kumar ,Reader from the Department of Swasthavritta with the support of all the other faculties.

The rally was a treat for the eyes and ears with a number of waving tricolored flags and the slogans of patriotism. The spirit of the students made the rally phenomenal with their formidable energy and involvement.

The rally ended by 11:30 AM at the college campus . After the rally the celebrations followed at the campus and competitions were conducted at the college campus which included painting, Rangoli and poster competition

BREAST FEEDING AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT RADHIKA HOSPITAL

As the extension to the Breast feeding awareness camp conducted at various places at Amreli, the same was conducted at Radhika Multi speciality hospital on August 10 2022. The camp was organised by  the Department of Prasutitantra and Striroga as a part of the celebration of BFAW and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The camp had the valuable presence of Dr Chetana Murakar, Consultant and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department ,Radhika hospital as the chief guest. The programme was  presided by Dr Gandhali Acchrekar Reader ,HOD of Department of Prasutitantra and Striroga. The camp had the third year students participating and giving awareness on various aspects of Breast feeding.

The programme was found to be beneficial for twenty women who had attended the programme. Our chief guest Dr Chetan Murakar gave a valuable speech and awareness talk to the women gathered. It was continued by an awareness talk by Dr Gandhali Acchrekar. 

Third year students of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College, gave their contribution for the programme by making awareness through their talks and the posters they have made in association with the competitions.

BREAST FEEDING AWARENESS WEEK : DAY 2

With regards to the Breast feeding celebration week 2022 established by the joint efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) UNICEF and the WABA , Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College ,  Amreli  initiated  the  celebrations for the same with competitions and campaigns. The second day of the Breast feeding awareness week 2022 was celebrated  conducting and extending the  health  check up camp to other areas of Amreli . 

Poster competition was conducted at the college campus, where the students actively participated to convey their ideas. The posters were based on the theme Breast feeding with specific significance to Importance of breast feeding, Breast feeding techniques, Sthanyajan aushadhi, Sthanya vardhak ahara, Do’s and Don’ts of breast feeding, Breast care and Sthanyotpatti. These posters were used in the campaign further. 

The campaign was organised by  Dr Sathish Solanki Assistant Professor of our Department of Rasasastra and Bhaishajya kalpana. The campaign was very effectively conducted by the students of third year BAMS. The medical team constituted by Dr Vaishali  Savaj Reader Department of Kaumarbhritya , Dr Gandhali Acharekar Reader Department of Prasutitantra Evam Striroga Dr Dinesh Dumadiya Reader Department of Rognidan. The health check up was conducted at Tarawadi Anganwadi, Sukhnivas primary school, Sarvodaya society, Jalarama nagar, Brahman society. The camp was well organised by the joint effort of Department of Prasutitantra Evam Striroga and Department of Kaumarbhritya.

These posters were used in the campaign further.

As a beginning of the celebration a awareness programme on the various aspects of breast feeding was conducted outside the campus concentrating the Anganwadis nearby to the campus. The campaign was organised by  Dr Sathish Solanki Assistant Professor of our Department of Rasasastra and Bhaishajya kalpana. The campaign was very effectively conducted by the students of third year BAMS. They actively volunteered the programme inspiring and creating awareness by educating the women.

The campaign was used as a platform to further medical care to the kids. Medical camps were conducted for the children at five of the nearby Anganwadis at Om Nagar, Giriraj colony, Jail Vistar, Sukh Nivas Colony and Gayathri Nagar.

The camps were lead by the eminent medical team made by Dr Laxman Hemde Reader (Department of Dravyaguna) Dr Dinesh Dumadiya Assistant Professor (Department of Rognidan) and Dr Vaishali Savaj Reader (Department of Kaumarbhritya).

FURTHERANCE TO THE MALNOURISHMENT ERADICATION PROGRAMME

As a solidarity to the propitious scheme Poshan abhiyan 2022 by our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College and Hospital started a programme for screening Severe and Moderate acute malnourished children from the remote areas of Amreli and to provide a helping hand for them. The programme found its dawn in May 2022. A total of 383 children were screened in the initial phase and a special nutritional kit manufactured in our own production house ( Netra Chikitsa Trust Ayurved Pharmacy ) was dispensed to all. The kit consisted of a nutritive granule, Suvarnaprashan drops , Chyawanprash and a massage oil. As a nurturance to this initiative the programme was reenacted at Municipal girls school ,Amreli on 30 July 2022,where the screening of SAM and MAM children was done and the kits were provided. The camp was conducted by Dr Vaishali Savaj Dr Satish Solanki and Dr Kalpesh Vaghasiya with the students from the third year of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College.

The occasion was blessed with the presence of Union cabinet minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Honorable Shree Parshotam Rupala ji who carried the kit distribution. The whole programme was backed by our Respected CEO Dr Arpan P Jani who made his valuable presence at the auspicious occasion

MEDICAL CAMP AT MOTA LILIYA

As a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav ” pursuing the path we paved, Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College, Amreli, collaborating with Umiya Mandir organised “Sarvarog maha nidan chikitsa camp” at Mota Liliya on the date of 28 July, 2022. The camp was conducted at Umiya and started by 9:30 AM and lasted till afternoon.

The panel of physicians was made by the eminent faculties of Netra Chikitsa Ayurved College Dr Farooq Ahmed ;Reader Department of Shalyatantra,Dr Satish Solanki ;Assistant Professor , Department of Rasasastra and Bhaishajya kalpana, Dr Hiral Gohel ;Assistant Professor , Department of Panchakarma, and Dr Bhumi Mehta; Assistant Professor , Department of Shalakyatantra. The final year students participated in the camp and helped in the effective organisation of the camp. The cooperation of the local authority made the camp more reachable for the public who were ready to seek our services.

Over 210 patients seeked the ayurvedic management for their various ailments from the camp in a very effective manner. The medicines which were manufactured in our own pharmacy was given for the patients. The possible Ayurvedic procedures were also done in the required cases. Those cases which needed  IP management were segregated and were referred to our hospital. A data base was made of the patients for our future reference.

The camp was comprehensive in all senses, by  being a step to accomplish our  mission to unfurl the science of Ayurved to the remote areas of Amreli along with providing efficient health services to the people. The camp became an academic pulpit for the students where they were able to see different clinical conditions and there management from their teachers. Their organising skills were also tested for and the outcome was the well organised camp.
